I am in the middle of editing Laura & Steve’s wedding photographs at the moment. They are in the middle of their honeymoon at Disneyland, and it looks like they are enjoying married life…. well according to facebook anyway I decided to create an animoto slideshow of their pre wedding photography session and here it is to share will you.

Website And Blog Or Just A Blogsite ????

More often than not my head is full of ideas whizzing around and almost constantly my head are ideas about my website. I am a member of a BNI chapter and one of the things you do at BNI is have 1 to 1′s with other members from the chapter, well last Wednesday I had my 1 to 1 with Elliot Richmond of Square One Marketing & Design. We were discussing websites etc etc and he mentioned using WordPress as my content management system and then more ideas started to flood my already overloaded brainbox.
Anyway I am trying to develop my blog and website and combine them into 1 blogsite. It may not sit well with everyone but it’s will hopefully make my life simpler and easier but still showcase my work to people interested in booking me for weddings, portraits, event or corporate work. I will be using Elliot’s valuable help from time to time in setting this all up as well.

So if you have any comments, ideas or you have a blogsite yourself then I would love to hear from you, but in the meantime as they say Watch This Space…….

Catherine & Leigh At Hatherley Manor Part 1

Back on the 24th April Bella and I had the pleasure of photographing Catherine & Leigh’s wedding at Hatherley Manor. The day was brilliant…. and afterwards when they returned from their honeymoon and had a look at the photographs this is what their first email had to say:-

I am currently viewing the wedding photos – but as yet only on no. 350! They are absolutely fantastic – above and beyond anything we could’ve wanted and will be happy to write anything for you & Bella.

Have just got back from Venice today so the perfect way to end the honeymoon by looking at the photos.

Will be in touch again soon – but just wanted you both to know how happy we both were.

We the date above in the blog title will be very important to me in many ways this year. Firstly it will be my 33rd birthday and also I will be getting married at 3 PM at Cheltenham Park Hotel. I guess I will never have to forget my wedding anniversary Also on that date a couple of friends of mine will be celebrating there anniversary of getting together and another friends husband will be celebrating his birthday.

At this point I want to thank Laura Bryon at Cheltenham Park Hotel for all the help in organising our wedding, Jan and Paul Viner from Kopend Creations for supplying all things to do with flowers and also All Occasions Balloon Decor.

I think at the moment I am more excited than I ever have been about anything in my whole life before, but I am sure that the nerves will kick in very soon. Needless to say I am going to be away from work for a few days, well until the 8th February anyway so probably no blogging in the meantime unless I can decide to do some from my phone. I will tweet while I am away and infact I am going to try to use the twitter more from now on so if you want to follow me then you can here JONBOYPHOTO.

Thats all I have got for everyone right now but the scary thing is that the next blog post I write I will be a married man

Blogging Commitment

Just a quick post to say that from this day on I am going to commit myself to at least one blog post a week from now on. whether it’s a photo or few from a recent shoot or just some idle ramblings then I am going to write about it. but saying that I am getting married myself in 11 days and in all honesty the butterflies are really getting to me in a good way. The end of 2009 and into 2010 :)

2009 has been a long year for me, with many high and low ponts, but I am determined to take what I have learned during this year and make next year excepional for both myself and my customers. Looking into the future I want to balance out my photography work to include more portrait sessions, more events and also to include more commercial work. This will hopefully vary what I do and benefit my wedding photography along the way. I personally want to do more photography for myself, get out in the world and start on personal projects.
Early in 2010 I will be working on my website and blog to make sure that all the content is upto date and looking it’s best. I will be tweaking the “Ottimo” package to include an album option and also including the “Animoto” disk as standard. Basically lots and lots of amazing things are in the pipeline I will endeavour to blog more with all sorts of information and not only just photography and work stuff, but lots of what I am upto and what’s happening in general with me.

Anyway on the 29th January it will not only be my 33rd birthday but will also be the day I will getting married on!!!!! more to come on that soon…. Going to say ta ta for now and will be back with you all soon.
